Levin asked the former head of the Mortgage Dept. at Goldman Sach," How much of that chitty deal did you sell to clients?"

It became pretty clear some of the senators don't really understand the workings of a
company like Goldman Sachs. This evening it became clear the CEO of Sachs wasn't exaclty sure why the government gave them the millions and millions of dollars,but it wasn't a bad investment for the US taxpayer. The entire sum has been paid back with 28% interest!
Among other things that came to light, one should always remember, if you are buying something that means somebody else is trying to sell it for one reason or another!! Just because a firm is selling assets to customers, that does not mean they themselves are not buying short and "betting" the price will fall. When asked by Sen.Levin, Sparks the head of the Mortgage Dept for Sachs, said it has to do with price. People will buy the so called Chitty deal if they think they can make money.

I Was Hurt By What The President Didn't Say Today

Dear Mr. President,
I am hurt, hurt not by the words you used today but by the words you didn't use... you left me out..I am a middle age white male and you asked for the help of many but forgot me. I must ask you, is there something wrong with me? Am I a second class or lower citizen because I am a middle age white male? I am so confused I thought I heard you, during your campaign say, ( tell me if I am wrong) that you were going to be a president of all the people. Because of my race am I not part of your America???? I thought we had come so very far in this country, from the days where a man or woman was judged by race and sometime by race alone. Sounded today as if I was wrong. You hurt me you made me feel as if I was not part of your America. I wonder what is going on ..........................

Illegal Immigrant Law Opposed But Why?

Here we go again. There is strong opposition to a new law in Arizona, ...wonder why..the new law makes it a crime, under state law, to be in the country illegally!!! Yes, I repeat, it makes it illegal to be in the country illegally. Doesn't seem such a harsh law to me. FOR THE MOST PART IT BACKS UP, WITH STATE LAW, LAWS THAT ARE ALREADY ON THE BOOKS. What is it that people don't understand about the word illegal?

The Mexican President Calderon issued a statement saying the Mexican government condemns the approval of the law..I wonder why? Sorry folks but there is a right way and a wrong way to enter this country and the wrong way is against the law. However to avoid breaking the law do it the right way!
Mexico, get your laws right before trying to mess with ours!
By the way, Arizona has about 461,000 Mexican and Central American ILLEGAL immigrants.
I wonder how much revenue these people send back across the border? Wonder if that might have anything to do with the fact the Mexican Government isn't happy with this new law which, as I said before, is a state law that backs up a federal law already on the books.... the law also states immigrants unable to produce documents showing they are allowed to be in the U.S could be arrested, jailed and fined. I am thinking this sounds like what most other countries do....... ie require a passport! So where is the "horrible" aspect of this law? Could it be they just want to come and go as they please. It is time the US started enforcing the law..... After all, the citizens of Arizona have laws they have to follow each and every day, they can't drive to the store or church or to work without having to follow laws.

Humor is all around us!

No matter how bad things might get in the political world there is always room for humor and not always mean spirited humor!

One day a man was at the gates of heaven waiting.....St. Peter seeing the man came to the gate to welcome him, the first thing St Peter noticed was this man was a politician. Thrown a little by this St Peter said, in a questioning tone, sir you are a politician? Yes, the man said..St. Peter said they didn't see a lot of politician in heaven....................... wait right here I will return in a moment. A few minutes later St.Peter returns and tell the politician there are some decisions he has to make. Seems politicians are special people and have to decide if they want to spend time in heaven or hell. The rules are simple, spend one day in hell the next day in Heaven and then deicide. First up, hell, when he got off the escalator the first thing he notices is all of his friends are there playing golf drinking and eating the finest foods. He starts playing golf on one of the finest courses he has ever seen and has the best time he has ever had playing golf. Before long he hears St. Peter, "times up get on the escalator.." he says good bye to his friends grabs a beer and head for the escalator... Once in heaven he is shown around, it's nice and peaceful. He moves from cloud to cloud listening to those playing harps and enjoying life. It was very nice and although he wasn't thirsty he had no beer. Before long time is up and he must decide.. After thinking a rather long time he decided hell was the place for him although, he said, heaven was ok but just not as nice as hell.
As the politician made his way from the escalator he noticed a stark difference.. the land was bare and hot and smelled. He looks around and sees his friends, they are wearing old clothes picking up trash that's falling from the sky. Calling to a friend he ask, hey what the Hell is going on....... yesterday I was here and this was the best course I had ever seen, there was beer and drinks, free of charge, all of the food I could eat. Things here were great.... His friend who was a big political leader on earth said, yesterday we were campaigning, today we have your vote!

Woman Dumped Her Son and Daughter Off of a Bridge

Oregon- A so-called "mother" was convicted of one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. She will spend at least 35 years in prison eligible for parol when she is 67. Sad case indeed but the worse part of this story is the "Who" and the "How" and no "Why".
She threw her own son and daughter off of a bridge... the four year old boy died the girl survived. She gave no reason for her actions, the children's father said there was no explanation for his estranged wife's actions. In court the woman said she was sorry and hoped one day people will forgive her. I not sure about others but I am thinking, SAYING YOU ARE SORRY "DON'T CUT THE MUSTARD," after you killed your son (4 years old) and tried to kill your daughter by throwing them off of a bridge!

Prayer Unconstitutional

Judge says National Day of
Prayer is unconstitutional.
Who is this lady, the judge? The national day of prayer started way back in 1775 when the continental congress asked for prayers when they were forming the government, President Truman made it legal, President Reagan made it the first Thursday in May.
Now a "ditsy," (my opinion) judge says it is unconstitutional. I don't know what her reasoning was but common sense says, she's wrong.
I have to admit the only law I studied in college was advertising law but freedom of religion is not the same as freedom from religion. In my humble opinion, I believe, back when this government was being formed, God was a given, it was the "State religion" concept the framers were trying to avoid. God and religion are 2 different things and in this country everyone is free to worship or not worship.
If you pray, feel free to pray for me, on the national day of prayer and/or any other day.

What Happened to the "PEOPLE" in," We the People"

I was under the impression the government of the United States worked for the "People" of the United States. I was under the impression those elected to the Congress and Senate "by" the people, sent to Washington "by" the people, were there "for" the people. I know, I know oh silly me. We elect them, we send them there, we pay them for the rest of their lives in most cases and when it comes times vote on issues, the people aren't important, winning is the the big "thing". The "People" were the means to the end. The end being, getting elected.
For example: right now in the Senate, there is a bill, a financial bill being bounced about and what's best for the people has taken more than just a back seat. What is important to the majority party at this time is winning, beating the other side, fixing it so if anyone votes against it they will look bad. Example:(1)

THIS IS CRAZY!! The sad truth is they are already trying to figure out "the score" and most of the senators, if not all have never even read the bill. They don't know what it says. Let me repeaT myself, they don't know what it says!!!! They do know, however, that it is a majority written bill so they will blindly follow along......

Happy Tax Day

Do you know where the money you paid or are paying today in taxes went? ( I say "went" because the government is so far in debt any money you pay in taxes has already been "spoken for" and is due to be paid out already.)
Does the Government know where all of your money "they " spent, since November 09, went? They can tell you were some of it went and if pushed they will tell other fairy tales. Fact is: THEY DON'T KNOW!
That fact alone should make you feel, "Oh so good" as you pay your taxes. NOT!

Bless the Living

The bodies of the remaining 29 miners, killed in the West Virginia mine explosion, have been recovered. Now the process of burying the dead continues, 29 more times.
Rough times are ahead for the families of the miners who risked their lives each day digging out their future and the future for their families deep down inside the earth.

Richmond, Va -Massey Company - Mine Explosion in West Virginia

Federal investigators are suppose to start their investigation today searching for the cause of the mine explosion responsible for the death of 29 workers. As the investigation begins rescuers are searching for the bodies of other workers still in the mine.
The Massy Energy Company, based in Richmond, Virginia has had a number of violations. Don Blankenship, the company's CEO defended the company and denied accusations that profits come before safety at the mine.


"Authorities" stated, high levels of methane gas "may have" played a role in the explosion responsible for the death of 29 workers. Records indicate Massey has been cited and fined for problems with the venting system that appears to have allowed combustible dust to build up.

Joe Manchin, West Virginia Gov. called for a moment of silence, Monday at 3:30 pm in memory of the victims of the explosion. Bob McDonnell, Virginia's Gov, asked Virginians to join the moment of silence, Monday, for their West Virginia neighbors.

Cross the boarder illegally ...get 7-8 Years hard labor

In Seoul, South Korea an American, Aijalon Mahli Gomes, a 30-year-old from Boston who was arrested in North Korea for illegal entry was sentenced to eight years of hard labor. Aijalon was also fined 70 million North Korean won or about $700,000 American dollars.

Think that is a bit harsh? I have a feeling that will cut down on illegal boarder crossings.
What does the United State do to those caught crossing the US boarder. Set them up with healthcare, provide all sorts of incentives or give them a free ride back?
I say let's try the Korean way for about six months. We need to build the famous fence, OK lets use the labor of those caught illegally entering!

Youth of the President - Why Doesn't He Understand

I am serious and mean no disrespect to anyone, young or old. Day after day as I see our young President do things that make little or no sense(to me). I have to wonder, could it be his youth that evidently blinds him from understanding certain things?
Recently he has come up with a new set of rules concerning "nukes" and when the US will and will not use them.
Mr. President, you do not tell the "other side" what your plans are when it comes to defending the country. The world is not a board game where all the players must follow the rules or leave the game. This is the real world where bad people want to kill other people for any host of reasons. Anything they can do to kill they will do. They will use anything they can to get what they want. Some times what they want is to have less of others in the world. It's sad, it's sick but it is real.
Here's a hint: when it comes to defending this nation of people, tell everyone you are the biggest, the badest and have more of what it takes to cream all the bad players. Be sure to have it too because there is always one group that will test you. If anyone and I mean ANYONE messes with the US the US will use everything it has, can find, can get and things we have that other don't know about to stop you!
No one has to worry about the United States as long as they don't mess with the US.

I beg of you, please tell me why a country, known as the most powerful country in the world, would ever tell other countries: We won't use our most powerful weapon on another country even if they attack.
Have your own secret rules for doing what you want but...never, ever tell anybody you will not use a weapon against who ever attacks you. To tell anybody you won't use whatever you have to protect yourself( your country) is asking for trouble, if not down right dumb!
Let a "would be", "might be", "could be"' enemy think you will use anything and everything you have to protect yourself. To do anything difference is down right dumb, to say it in a nice way!
Why would I need to say this? Our president is getting ready to do just that, he is going to tell other countries the US has a set of rules for using nuclear weapons and not using nuclear weapons. BAD MOVE! VERY BAD MOVE!
Mr. President, I don't care if you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent.
Mr. President, I don't care if you are black, brown red,white, yellow!
Mr. President, please protect my butt and the rest of the people who live in the US!

Tomorrow or the next day you will hear his(the president's) words on this subject, please pay attention.

7.2 Quake Hits California

A 7.2 earthquake hit Baja California at 3:40 p.m. that was felt from Tijuana and Los Angeles to Las Vegas and Phoenix.

There is substantial damage in the older section of the southeastern California city. There is structural damage, leaking gas lines, water system damage and plenty of broken windows. So far, no injuries have been reported.

It was the largest earthquake in the area in 18 years and was followed by aftershocks on both sides of the border, according to a U.S. Geological Survey seismologist.

Killing Seems to be the Answer to Neighborhood Dispute

WASHINGTON (AP) — A feud among neighbors, three shootings and five murders have DC police trying to stop more paybacks in an area known for drugs and violence just 7 miles from the White House.

Tuesday night, a drive-by shooting killed four and wounded five people, who had just returned from the funeral of Jorden Howe, a man slain nearby. A 20-year-old male, who was wounded in the third shooting, is a suspect in the other two shootings.


DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier called it the worst shooting in D.C. in at least 16 years.


Two men and a 14-year-old boy were charged with first-degree murder after DC Police chased a silver van into Prince George's County, MD and back into Washington. One of the suspects, Orlando Carter, also has been charged with second-degree murder in the March 22 shooting of Jordan Howe.

On March 23, Carter was shot in the head and shoulder hours after his brother was arrested in Howe's death.
OK..this is close to insane!! This one killed that one for killing that one. This would be just another bad movie if it were not a real case involving real people, real murders. I will not finish this story because it is sick! The secondary story might be how were these people brought up, when did killing become the way to solve a neighborhood dispute? It seems the killing began over a missing gold-colored bracelet.
